Chain-of-Custody Tri-Certification
In many forests around the world, logging still contributes to habitat destruction, water pollution, displacement of indigenous peoples, and violence against people who work in the forest and the wildlife that dwells there. Many consumers of wood and paper, and many forest products companies believe that the link between logging and these negative impacts can be broken, and that forests can be managed and protected at the same time.
DS Graphics is committed to environmental stewardship. Along with using Soy Based inks, we are proud to have achieved our tri-certification in forestry management practices. We are proud to hold certifications for the Forest Stewardship council (FSC), The Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) and Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) chain-of-custody. All three of these organizations are non-profit, non-governmental groups recognized globally for promoting responsible forest management.
DS Graphics offers FSC-, SFI- and PEFC-certified papers as choices to our customers. We are doing all we can to reduce our carbon footprint and preserve our environment.

Soy ink is a kind of ink made from soybeans. As opposed to traditional petroleum-based ink, soy-based ink is more environmentally friendly, is available in brighter colors, and makes it easier to recycle paper. Soy ink is available for newspapers, magazines, commercial printing, packaging, business forms and many other uses. Each form of printing requires a different type of ink and manufacturers have made various efforts to meet with the demands of customers.
Benefits of using soy ink include more vibrant colors, lower rub-off, and better stability than conventional inks. Click to learn more.
